Omid Charrakh

Welcome to my website. I am a P.h.D student at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stephan Hartmann. My main research interests are in philosophy of physics, philosophy of science and metaphysics. In particular, my doctoral project deals with the notion of causation in light of the apparent conflict between quantum non-locality and Relativity.

I received my Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich (LMU),  and before that, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering, from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran.

In 2017, I received the Hanneke Janssen Memorial Prize which is awarded annually to the best Master's thesis on the subject of History and Philosophy of Modern Physics.
